A Friday the 13th landing on Halloween month — who could ask for (or try avoid) more!
While you may not have been on the Friday the 13th Flight 666 to HEL today, you can at least keep track of some at-home superstitions while you navigate your (un)lucky number Friday.
Here are some house-and-home superstitions from around the web:
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has a catalog of “Superstitions and Old Wives’ tales around the home.”
Even Bob Vila has gotten in the Friday the 13th at home mix with, “Dissecting Friday the 13th and Other Household Superstitions.”
Some scary movies for Friday the 13th
Of course there is the classic Friday the 13th, but if you’re looking for a menu of scary movies or horror films to watch for the evening, Rotten Tomatoes itemized its Top 100 Horror Movies.
For those of you, us included, who want to jump right to the 80s scary movies, you can get some ideas from Esquire.
Some history: If you’re curious about the origins of Friday the 13th bringing fears of bad luck, the history.com can fill you in quite extensively. Good luck to those with paraskavedekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia — or put simply, Triskaidekaphobia. …
…Yeah, we’re just gonna stick to the 80s movies, too.
